Formulation and evaluation of the nanosilver gel using bioreductor ethanol extract of katuk leaf (sauropus androgynus (l) merr) as antibacterial

Background: The current type of nanoparticle that attracts a lot attention in the pharmaceutical field is Nanosilver because it can act as an antimicrobial. Objective: aim this study was to obtain gel preparation from katuk leaf extract, which effective antibacterial agent against acne. Methods: Katuk extract remains reducing synthesis using green method. characterization performed PSA, FTIR and TEM. Results: Particle size (Katuk concentration 0.16% with silver nitrate volume 10 mM 1: 9) 164.40 nm, Concentration 0.32% 176.47 nm (0.48% 194.95 nm. Antibacterial activity Well method shown nanosilver had inhibitory effect on P. acnes bacteria inhibition zone 26 mm classified very strong, 12 strongly categorized S. aureus bacteria, namely Formula 1. Conclusion: A variation influences particles formed. has cause for acne strong category.
